I had a super quick editorial shoot with a great fellow named Jorgen on Sunday.
Basically Jorgen owns quite a few buildings and homes in Inglewood and often has to appeal the property assessment performed every year by a third party in order to avoid excessive taxes that are based upon the assessments.
Recently the government changed the appeal process. To the extent it no longer exists. Meaning whatever the third party (who’s payroll is funded by the Government and consequently, your taxes) deems your property to be valued at becomes the rule and your property tax will be based solely off their assessment.
So Jorgen wrote a letter to the government. When they didn’t respond, he contacted FFwd. His story got picked up and will be out in today’s issue of FFwd.
